IADD STAFF PROFILES

Cindy Crouse, CAE CEO

Cindy
Cindy provides executive management, substantive guidance, support, and direction to the IADD leadership. She has overall responsibility for all aspects of the Association and assists in identifying substantive issues and stimulating and encouraging projects and activities that benefit its members and the industry.

Since 1982, Cindy has been an association manager in both trade and professional associations. Formerly Director of the 67,000 member Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, she has hands-on experience in meeting planning, committee management, publications, membership activities, marketing, media relations/PR, legislative, and personnel management.

In 1993, Cindy was one of 50 association executives nationwide chosen as an American Society of Association Executives Future Leader. She has served as a speaker and trainer at Association Forum and other association programs.

Cindy has a B.S. in Business Administration (with concentrations in management and marketing) from Columbia College. In 1999 she earned her CAE (Certified Association Executive designation). When Cindy joined the IADD in October 1995, she returned to her diemaking roots (her father was in the industry for 50 years and was a member of the IADD for 26 years since its inception).

Jill reinforces the IADD’s commitment to its members, prospective members and the industry by maximizing the value of IADD membership. Jill provides support to the IADD's chapters in their creation, management, and activities; she assists with membership acquisition and retention and member services; and she assists in the production of "The Cutting Edge", the IADD's monthly magazine.

Jill comes to us from the American Massage Therapy Association where she was Chapter Relations Administrator, providing support and guidance to 52 regional chapters. During her employment, she developed and implemented the Chapter Volunteer Orientation Program, helped plan and administer the annual Chapter Officer Leadership Training Program; developed and oversaw the content, design and function of the Chapter Center (online website resources); and created, edited, and published the quarterly Chapter Officers' Bulletin newsletter.

Jill earned her M.S. in Public Services Management and holds a Paralegal Certificate in Corporate Practice and Business Law.

Peggy Molitor
Administrative and Meetings Assistant

Cindy

Peggy is the welcoming voice of the IADD, assisting Jill and Cindy in administering a wide variety of Association activities. Her duties include financial accounting, meeting planning and registration, order fulfillment, and coordination of the general office and operations.

Peggy brings a wealth of association and exhibit show experience from the Radio Control Hobby Trade Association where she was Executive Assistant and Meeting Planner. She also has previous experience in a printing association and with a printing company. On the volunteer side, she has served as a board member on a homeowner association.

She has always resided in the Midwest, but hopes to head Southwest someday. She is an animal lover and is especially fond of her Scottish Terrier rescue dog "Maggie," though she informs us that she likes her two kids too!

Mike Vanderspool
Executive Administrative Coordinator

Cindy

Mike assists the CEO with executive and administrative tasks for a wide variety of often-changing projects and activities, ensuring progress to deadlines of delegated tasks and providing staff support as assigned to selected task forces and volunteer leaders. Mike also acts as staff liaison to the TechTeam; assists with membership and marketing; and oversees publications and DVDs.

The variety of his responsibilities is not daunting to Mike, whose professional career has been a tapestry of multiple, often overlapping positions. Since 1982 Mike has served people with disabilities through People First of McHenry County and People First of Illinois as an advocate, advisor and employment specialist, the latter role providing him with a diversity of factory experiences. In addition, from 1985-2004 he worked for a number of market research companies in varying roles from recruiter/interviewer to manager of professional recruitment. Throughout his career, he has been involved in planning and assisting regional, state and national conferences, and he has a keen understanding of the “other side” of associations through his board service as an officer for the McHenry County U.S. Bowling Congress Association and as a director in the Market Research Association, where he was responsible for membership.

Mike has a B.S. from Illinois State University and has done masters work at Northern Illinois University in Public Relations.
