  "Radical Times Require Radical Actions"
Strategies for Managing Your Company Back to Prosperity

"It's not whether you get knocked down. It's whether you get up again."

- Vince Lombardi, NFL Hall of Fame Coach of the Green Bay Packers

  How is your company doing? The economic recession has delivered quite a blow to many businesses, including many IADD members. Are you taking the actions necessary to get your company back on its feet? Or are you still knocked down, waiting for the diecutting converting industry and your business to return to "normal"?

IADD is pleased to present a workshop designed to help you revitalize your company. Studies have shown that many business owners, presidents and CEOs fail to do the very things that their companies desperately need if they are going to succeed in today's difficult economic environment… and oftentimes they don't even realize it. By joining us for this year's Midyear Leadership Conference you will learn the following and more:

  • What it takes to measure and then dramatically improve the financial health of your business;
  • Which of your customers should be "fired";
  • Why you should listen instead of look for the solutions to your company's challenges;
  • The secret to improving relations with your banker; and
  • Why your approach to managing is absolutely critical to the survival of your business.

It is never easy to admit that things are not perfect in our companies or our industry, but look at all the potential benefits that can come from facing up to the challenge. Consider all that you have to gain from attending the 2003 IADD Midyear Meeting and hearing how to manage your business back to prosperity!

Remember, it's not whether you get knocked down. It's whether you get up again.

Spouse Activity "Backstage at Bally's—The Showbiz Tour"
The day will begin with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, after which you'll tour along the Las Vegas "Strip." All major hotels and casinos will be pointed out and your private tour guide will describe the transformation of Las Vegas from a dusty railroad-watering stop at the beginning of the century to the "Entertainment Capital of the World." You'll be transported to the theater at Bally's, where a backstage tour will offer a glimpse into the world of show business. When it opened in 1981, "Jubilee!" in the Ziegfeld Theater was the most lavish, expensive, and spectacular show in Las Vegas, at a cost of $10 million, and featuring over 100 entertainers. You will walk across the largest stage in Las Vegas and ascend the stairs to the light and sound booth for a bird's eye view. Then, from three stories below the stage, learn how 5,000 gallons of water cascade through the set of the gigantic Titanic, twice nightly!

You'll then join your guide in the showrom for an exciting stage make-up demonstration, where she will transform herself, step-by-step, into a showgirl before your very eyes. The transformation is truly unbelievable! You'll return to the hotel in time for a late lunch on your own and relaxation before the evening's activities.

"Prelude to the Night" Awards Dinner
Gather one last time with friends and colleagues for a delicious dinner and awards presentations before venturing into the night to enjoy the bright lights of the Strip, the downtown casinos, a fabulous show, or the many amenities offered by the resort. Whether you're looking for hot dancing or cool music, our revamped format and early finish will allow you to find the evening entertainment of your choice.

  THE UN-VEGAS LAS VEGAS
  The Green Valley Ranch is a brand-new, $300-million resort designed for those thrill-seekers who love everything about Las Vegas and those peace-seekers who do not. Located seven miles from the Strip, the approach feels like one is entering an Argentine estancia, sans cattle. The opulent lobby, day spa, pools, 10 movie theaters, and seven self-contained major restaurants offer all the amenities of a resort, with no dinner shows or lounge acts to distract from solitude. For those who prefer gaming, there are 2,500 slot/video poker machines and 53 gaming tables just around the corner, with the Strip itself just minutes away. It's your choice—enjoy the lights and excitement of Vegas, or a spiritual retreat.

  OTHER INFORMATION
  When you register for the conference, you will receive an information packet listing sites to see, things to do, dining recommendations, hotel and shuttle information and general travel tips to help you enjoy your stay.

The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport and to the Strip (more information will be contained in the information packet mailed to registrants). Hotels do not charge parking fees.
