IADD/Clemson University Workshop
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the workflow required to move a packaging or print job from initial customer order through final production and finishing. Students will learn how incoming artwork is evaluated, prepared and managed in the graphics and prepress departments to ensure accurate color reproduction, proper file setup and reliable proofing before printing begins.
The course also introduces the fundamentals of print production processes—including flexographic, lithographic and digital printing—along with color management, press setup, quality control and customer approval procedures. Finally, students will explore the structural and converting side of packaging production, including die design, steel rule die construction, diecutting and finishing operations that transform printed sheets into finished packaging products.
