Cutting Edge Award Recipients


One of the association’s highest honors, the Cutting Edge Award focuses on the person (or team of people) who has made the most positive impact on our industry, preferably within the last 24 months, demonstrating a unique, meaningful or emerging contribution to the diecutting/diemaking industry. This contribution may be in the form of technology, hardware systems, methods, association development and betterment, active participation within the IADD, education or through some other significant contribution to further the industry as a whole. The award is presented annually, and past recipients are eligible.

PEAK Award Recipients


One of the association’s highest honors, PEAK (Performance, Excellence, Achievement and Knowledge) focused on the person (or team of people) who made the most positive impact on our industry within the last 24 months, demonstrating a unique, meaningful or emerging contribution to the diecutting/diemaking industry. This contribution was in the form of technology, hardware systems, methods, association development and betterment, active participation within the IADD, education or through some other significant contribution to further the industry as a whole. The award was presented annually. In 2015 the criteria were revised and the award was renamed Cutting Edge (see above).

Each year IADD members look forward to guessing which deserving candidate will receive this special award. What makes each award uniquely exciting is the fact that the specific criteria is chosen by the current President, and no two acknowledgments or plaques are the same. Whether it rewards exceptional leadership, active support of IADD programs and activities, significant contributions to the Association or achievement in the industry, it is considered a great honor to be recognized in such a significant and personal way.

Pillar Award Recipients


The IADD Pillar Award recognizes an individual who has, over at least eight years of dedicated service, unselfishly shared their knowledge and time for the benefit of others and of the Association. It is their many contributions that embody the IADD’s existence. This is not a lifetime achievement award, nor does it recognize accomplishments in the industry. This is meant to be an award for those who have served the IADD over a period of time.

Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients


This award recognizes an individual’s significant and enduring contributions to the diecutting converting industry. Recipients made outstanding and ongoing accomplishments to the industry and/or to the IADD over a lengthy period of time in their professional lives; are recognized as an exceptional industry member who has advanced the welfare of the industry; openly shared valuable experience with other industry members; contributed significantly and consistently to the advancement or recognition of the industry through service to the IADD and/or related organizations; and have been frequent contributors or organizers for presentations, workshops, publications or related events geared to helping other industry members achieve business success. It is only given sporadically, to ensure that recipients meet the criteria and are truly deserving.

Diecutter/Diemaker of the Year Award Recipients


Previously known as “Package Printing Man of the Year” and “packagePRINTING Diecutter/Diemaker of the Year,” this prestigious award was presented by packagePRINTING magazine until 2006 when it was replaced by the IADD PEAK Award. Its criteria evolved over the years to honor recipients who demonstrated a unique, meaningful or emerging contribution to the diecutting/diemaking industry. This contribution may have been in the form of technology, hardware, systems, methods, association development and betterment, education or through some other significant contribution. There was no set length of time over which the criteria was evaluated.

S. Ray Miller International Award Recipients


This award honored IADD members who have been instrumental in advancing the state of diecutting or diemaking on an international basis. Recipients made significant contributions to the industry and/or to the IADD on a global scale, possibly over a number of years; were recognized as exceptional industry members who advanced the welfare of the industry globally by breaking down geographic barriers; openly shared valuable experience with other industry members, possibly through promoting education, programs or communication; contributed significantly and consistently to the advancement or recognition of the industry through service to the IADD and/or related organizations; and were frequent contributors or organizers for presentations, workshops, publications or related events geared to helping other industry members understand the international nature of our industry. The award was only given sporadically, to ensure that recipients met the criteria and were truly deserving. It is no longer being awarded.
