Chapter Leadership
Purpose
Ensure that the IADD is accessible to everyone within the industry in a cost-efficient and ef-fective manner that provides maximum value.
Projects
- Plan & organize 1-4 technical and/or social meetings annu-ally (per chapter), according to need
- Create a robust prospective member list for each region/func-tional area
- Identify prospective members, key players and future chapter leaders
- Develop unique ways to provide local access in all geographic areas
- Develop unique ways to provide virtual access in diverse functional areas
- Encourage the formation of new chapters
Chapter Officer Responsibilities
Chair
- The Chapter Chair serves as the local representative of the IADD, for members and the region.
- Oversees all aspects of Chapter activities and communicates with the Board of Directors.
- Determines relevant topics, recommends speakers and identifies local needs.
- Continually looks for potential candidates to fulfill officer roles in the future.
Vice Chair
- The Vice Chair assists in the planning of program ideas and encourages participation in Chapter meetings and events.
- The Vice Chair fulfills the duties of the Chairperson in the event of an absence or disability.
- Continually looks for potential candidates to fulfill officer roles in the future.
- Supports IADD member recruitment and retention efforts.
Secretary
- The chapter Secretary provides a summary of meetings and submits them to the IADD Chapter Coordinator after each event for use in the Chapter Update section of The Cutting Edge.
- Posts Chapter activities on social media, takes pictures at events and assists with on-site registration and welcoming members.
- Assists Chapter Chair/Vice Chair in determining time, location and topics and encourages attendance for Chapter meetings and events.
Treasurer
- The chapter Treasurer reviews financial reports provided by IADD staff to ensure accuracy (includes individual meetings/events and overall chapter reserves).
- Welcomes members and prospective members at Chapter meetings/events and other on-site duties.
- Assists Chapter Chair/Vice Chair in determining time, location and topics and encourages attendance for Chapter meetings and events.
