Volunteer Spotlight - Marina Bonk Palma

Volunteer News,

Marina Bonk Palma, Bonk Americas

How long have you been working in the industry?
I have been working in this industry since 1999, the year we founded our company in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
Over the years, we have expanded significantly, now operating four factories, including Curitiba, Blumenau and Fraiburgo (Santa Catarina), and Farroupilha (Rio Grande do Sul). We proudly serve some of the largest players in Brazil and South America, ensuring excellence and innovation in everything we do.

Why did you get involved with IADD?
I got involved with IADD because I genuinely enjoy the content and find it valuable.
Learning more about the product and understanding how it is produced in the USA has been both fascinating and insightful.

Being part of IADD allows me to deepen my knowledge and stay informed about industry developments.

What is your current role?
Currently, as the owner, I oversee the entire team across four factories in Brazil. My responsibilities include managing operations, handling contracts, securing new clients, and driving business growth. I ensure that everything runs smoothly while focusing on expanding opportunities and strengthening partnerships.

What motivates you to give back to the industry?
I am passionate about sharing knowledge and helping the industry continue to evolve. In Brazil, we have a distinct market profile compared to the U.S., but it remains highly competitive. Our products are developed with innovation and quality in mind, tailored to meet the specific demands of our region while maintaining international standards.
Contributing to the industry allows me to strengthen its growth and ensure a thriving future for all involved.

What do you like to do in your free time?
One of my greatest passions is traveling by Harley with my husband, Heitor, who is also one of my business partners.
We love the open road and the freedom of exploring new places. Brazil and South America are incredibly beautiful, with breathtaking nature that makes motorcycle trips a refreshing escape from daily life. Riding through these landscapes is not just a hobby—it’s a way to experience the world with a sense of adventure.
